What’s your best investment ever?

You know what? The mine is in the picture on the left.

It is an Amazon Kindle of 2013. For almost nine years I’ve read many books. For the most part, they are non-fiction books: sales, marketing, strategy, and biographies.

How do I select the books to read? Usually, I follow the suggestions coming from Amazon to download and read the extract, approx. 10% of a book. If the extract attracts me and the price is lower than five euros, I buy the book for future reading. If the book costs more the five euros, I add the book to my wish list, waiting to see it in some kind of discount.

My Kindle is my best investment ever because it gives me the highest ROI. And the ROI is high not of the low cost of the books, but for the knowledge and the ideas I developed by reading so many interesting books. Definitely, I’m the professional that I’m thanks to those books.

Now you see the Kindle on the right? A few weeks ago, I received a proposal for Amazon. They noted that my current Kindle is not yet supported. So, they give me a 30% discount for a new Kindle with 30€ of credit to buy Kindle books. And here it is the brand-new white Kindle on the right: more good books at good prices driving my intangible ROI.
